authorities
On 3:51 PM , Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Yesterday morning after perhimpunan, few of us were dragged to the taman to take picture. Of course, normal reaction, even before being told where to go to, we already guessed and knew it was another 'surface' project. Meaning: visually done but not really so.
So, one of the teachers who were in charge directed tuan Pengetua to do that, post where etc loh. She stressed quite literally that those pictures were '
berharga'-meaning valuable, for the sake of completing task that will be handed in else where to
show our school's involvement I guess.[==] Tuan Pengetua did as he was told to, though, to my surprise, he did more than he was told.
Instead of merely having the pictures taken,
He put more soil in that pot, even
asked for water :)
Woah :D
One of those times, I saw human-ness in authorities.
I realized that many times it's we, students who aren't willing to let authorities be emotional being nor make mistakes. We labelled them and drew conclusion even before truly
knowing them.
If we deserve understanding, don't they?
Perhaps it's true that anyone, even leaders aren't perfect.
Being biased,
unjust, grammatically-off, ill-teaching..
But, God placed them above us for a reason, eh?
I love being in Auntie Sze's leadership class, haha. Loving times when she shares about her
experiences and obstacles she overcame. She mentioned that a leader is one who has a passion and influence on others' life. [So true!]
God calls us to be leaders but
followers too.
To have people honoring our passion, we too should respect people-above-us'.

Love this picture!
Reason: In it, two influential teachers whom I
respect a lot :D

toy story 3
On 9:25 PM , Friday, June 25, 2010

I watched Toy Story 3 and was massively
inspired. :)
It shows Andy as a grown-up soon going to college. The toys felt
abandoned since Andy grew up and of course, he kept them else where instead of playing them like he used to. So lah, they somehow ended in Sunshine kindergarten, in which their friendship, kinship were tested. In the end, they managed to get back home but was sent off to Bonnie's house.
I guess many times we do feel like them.
Once somebody, now not useful anymore?
I'm again reminded that there's a time for everything. For a certain season, we're placed in that place for God-planned reasons. And perhaps after that specific season, we have to leave and move on, eh? Not that we're non-functional anymore. Just that, it's time for someone else to take the lead. It's time for the coming generation to take your place.
Some truths are hard to digest.
Though, it's essential to accept them :]
Love the way the story is conducted and how determined Woody is!
"...but we're Andy's toys."
He never doubted.
Simple characters.
Cute, amusing, heart-warming. bravo, toy story 3! :D

Singapore
On 8:34 PM , Friday, June 18, 2010
Two days in Singapore taught me a lot.
Honestly, it was quite an experience to travel alone there. :)
I realized that the way Singaporeans do things are different from what I always see in TV and Malaysians. They're tidier, more systematic, lots of amazing buildings. Though, something caught me sigh-ing is their lives. Not every house host is rich enough to have a car nor a nicely-built house, so, most of them travel via MRT and stay in flats.
Rushing through each day.
Whether pregnant, old, or young;
Walking, walking, more walking.. =I
Feel so blessed to be back home.
A less-packed community; less-expensive cars, gardens, mamak!
How good it's to have your own car, house, space...eh? :D
Used to complaint a lot to God: why can't I be born in great cities like KL, Singapore, USA, UK. I guess, He does things for a reason, eh?
Actually, it isn't that terrible to be a kampung girl lah.
Though our facilities are really far behind cities',
and perhaps, ulu-er lah. =I ......
we should be proud that at least, we've room for mistakes.
A much more fresh air and freedom! :D
I pray
they will find joy in their services
make not them into robots
'Till we meet again, thanks a lot for moulding my attitude
Always give thanks
for you do not know, yet, what you already have :)

family
On 7:24 PM , Friday, June 11, 2010
Half a year gone, and I've learnt hard that people change.
I guess I did lose my way in the midst of chaos;
reality, too cruel?
Perhaps discouragements are way too overwhelming.
To accept the fact that even leaders aren't perfect; growth needs time; people biases; more humans live aimlessly.
Not easy to hold on to that belief, believing Healing is to come.
Had an awesome time reflecting during Church Camp.
The first night alone, I was impacted by the stories told by the older ones. One of the auntie shared her life story. She mentioned that she came from a hard core poor family and her father passed away when she was in Form 5. Somehow, she managed to complete her studies in Uni despite the fact that girls aren't suppose to be well-educated at that time.
She was talking with watery eyes.
Her expressions alone; prevail a lot of how she went through life.
Though the path was rocky, they survived?
Felt so blessed to have people like them who already went through life, in hope that we, the younger generation, will not repeat their mistakes. :)
This week, I realized that we have family for a reason.
Whether it's by blood or in Christ.
We need each other. Different roles but all important.

Heal us, forgive us
Restore our hearts again
fill us, breathe upon us
Jesus, Jesus
Healer of nations, hope of salvation
Jesus, Jesus
King of our hearts, King of the broken :)
六个人.. 又重聚. 一旦是家人, 永远是家人.

heii?

Perhaps It's because of my family background, my parents are well-school-ed, always had an impression and
concept that it's something normal and the way things should be when it comes to going to University.
The more I grew up, I started to realize not everyone makes it into Uni and there're people who stop school for
work and still, successful. Thus, the higher forms we get to, I realize things aren't that easy anymore. Not like you can get what you want. In reality, you have to compete. In reality, many things like financial capability, your grades, people, and family have to be considered in making decisions concerning one's future.
It's true that we should choose what we love to do.
But, we can't always hope for things to be the way we
want it to be. Living life as if people owe you or you don't hold any form of responsibility. People are looking no matter how, eh?
Used to study sambil watching TV.
Now, it just doesn't work that much lah. =(
Few days of exam caught me thinking a lot.
I realized that, the moment I took Form6, I din't really think through what am I getting myself into. And, I did not take things that seriously. Perhaps because people say it's hard and it's normal to do bad.
Looking back, how silly It is to think at such.
Fail = funny? Think again. I don't think so.
Not regrets in taking Form 6, though, it's time to change the 'it's okay..' attitude and further even take things for granted. Time to grow up.
Therefore, I remind myself.
It's a privilege to be educated so should I be glad about it.
Thank You, though it isn't easy.
就这样, 半年了... :)
